The hand painted dye process, once realized in our studio, was soon applied to natural white throws affording extraordinary patterning from shibori resists (like tie dye!) to layered colours which are brushed on, heated and set for each hue.
Each painted throw is different and impossible to recreate. Each is determined by the application, temperatures of the dyes and even the shape of the dye kettle. Traditional painting techniques such as airbrush, resist and successive glazing have yielded breathtaking paintings.
